Sujey comes from a church in Baja, Mexico to study in the Bible Institute but has also chosen to work in the orphanage during her time here. We do not know what God has for her in the future, but she is a great blessing in the orphanage and a real encouragement with her upbeat attitude. - Markie |
My name is Sugey Cienfuegos Alvarez. I accepted the Lord on April 9th, 2004 in the city of Mexicalli, Baja California at the age of sixteen. I give thanks to the Lord for His great mercies. In these years since becoming a Christian nothing has been easy. I have had discouragements and problems but God has shown me many things through them.and I have learned what God wants for me. At this time God has permitted me to study my third year in Providence Baptist Institute and at the same time work in Providence Homes. For me it has been a great joy working with the Children and even more seeing the situations that they come from. God has showed me many things through them one of these things has been to love, honor and appreciate my family while I have them healthy and alive. I give thanks to the Lord for his great love and mercy. God bless you. I Samuel 12:24

Hello, my name is Brittany Fortner. I was saved at the age of twelve. Before this time, my family was also unsaved. I can only remember going to church three times before - once for a wedding, once for a funeral, and once when we left halfway through. I had never heard any of the gospel before; I had only heard the name Jesus, but had no idea who He was. Shortly before my salvation, my family moved to another state. Nearby was a little country church. My parents decided it was high time we went to church, but only for morning services because they didn't want to be 'fanatical'. The second or third Sunday we went, I heard the Gospel for the first time in my life. That morning I accepted the Lord Jesus Christ. Within this same time period the rest of my family also were saved. Before long not only were we going to evening services but my dad was called to preach. Since then I have had a wonderful life. The Lord is so good to me. I praise Him every day for allowing me to serve Him here in Mexico.

Zaira is from here in Navojoa and we have had the opportunity to see her grow in the Lord. She has a sweet spirit and a heart for the Lord that makes her a real joy to be around. We are blessed to have her in the orphanage. - Christy |
| In March of last year I surrendered my life completely to the Lord, it was in a conference where God touched my heart. I have not been saved for very Long but God has taught me a lot about Him and about myself. I am praying for my family that they will come to know the truth also. I study in Providence Baptist Institute now that my main goal in life is to serve the Lord. I also live in Providence Baptist Home, I have been living there for about seven months and have felt the Lord molding my life. I give thanks to the Lord for my salvation and the opportunity that He has given me to serve Him.

God has given us the privilege of being Rosario's youth pastor and later her Sunday School teacher for her college and career class. It has been encouraging to watch her grow spiritually and now to serve the Lord. - Markie

| My name is Rosario Estrada, I live in Navojoa, Sonora, Mexico; I am 20 years old. I accepted Christ on the 31st of January, 2006.It was the second time that I went to church; it was a youth meeting. This was a very important day in my life. The first day I went to church was also very important, December 13, 2005, this was a very special day because that was when I heard about Christ. On the day that I accepted Christ I began to feel my life change. I was baptized on August 19, 2007, and I am now working in the orphanage and studying in the Bible Institute. In December of 2007, I had asked the Lord for certain prayer requests and among them was that I would be able to work in the orphanage and study in the Bible Institute; God did not take long in answering. I had not believed that this would happen so soon, and I thank God for it. Although I have had many battles to go through, I have learned that what is worth something costs something. The verses Romans 8:37-39 have really helped me because I know that nothing can separate me from the love of God. |
